Trading professionally as a business is difficult and can be very stressful in the beginning.  Don't believe anyone who tells you differently. It is a fact that 90% of all day traders fail. Learning to trade successfully will take time and serious study.  It takes most new traders 2 or more years of hard work, study and practice before they become consistently profitable.  It is a lonely effort.  However, the rewards personal and monetary, are great for the person who perseveres to maturity as a professional trader.

If you feel you are up to the challenge, and that your desire to succeed is strong enough, then the links below are to organizations who can help you get started and advance in your education to become a successful professional trader. These are organizations that we have in depth knowledge of, participated in successfully, and can recommend with confidence.

One of the beginning hurdles is finding the indicator tool set that is right for you as a trader, and finding out what kind of trader you are according to your personality.  That is why there are so many indicators and so many trading methods.  Not every tool or method will fit every type of trader.  You must find the one that is right for you. Unfortunately there is no magic formula just as there is no holy grail tool when it comes to trading.  Your initial investment of time, education and research will be crucial in guaranteeing your future success as a trader. Ultimately you must develop your own successful style, or you will fail.

Two of the greatest mistakes new traders make when considering trading as a business is under-funding and a failure to fully understand and accept the risks of trading.  Be leery of trading educators that consistently employ words like anticipate, expect and know. The only sure thing is that no one knows where the market will go once you get your entry signal.  It is only a probability that a familiar pattern will repeat itself. Keep this in mind while you research the tools and methods for your trading business.

One of the best decisions you can make in your development is to find yourself a teacher, coach or mentor.  This is not so easy a thing to do as it sounds.  The waters are infested with sharks, charlatans, con's, and hype.  You must do thorough research, spend as much time as possible searching, and be willing to spend some money and time until you find one that helps YOU to PRODUCE THE RESULTS YOU WANT. No one will ever do it for you. Do not become dependent, or work with anyone who makes you dependent.  Just focus on what is being taught, and whether or not it is realistic and something you can learn.  Beware of indicator vendors that say you can gain 10 points a day blindly following their signals.  While this may be possible on an isolated signal, the accumulation of losses that you will incur as you're blindly following signal after signal until that 1 out of 10 "moat" arrives will wipe you out faster than you can blink. Here's a hint.  The best day traders trade much less than you think.

In the beginning stick to one instrument, one trade setup, two time frames, two charts, one tool set until you have mastered it; then trading becomes a matter of money management and consistency.  Just get to first base ... the home runs will come later.
